Gethsemane Baptist School Purpose

GBCS strives to teach its students:

(1) to live for God's glory.  (I Corinthians 10:31)

(2) to live for others.  (Matthew 20:20-28)

(3) to train for the future in discipline and obedience.
     (Job 36:10; I Corinthians 6:12, 9:24-27)

(4) to teach godly character and actions.  (Titus 2:11-14; 
     Colossians 1:9-12)

(5) the works of God from God's viewpoint.  (Psalm 78:1-8)

(6) to bring students to maturity through service in the local
     church. (Ephesians 2:8-10; 4:7-16)

(7) to bring students to Christ-likeness through human 
     instruments (e.g. godly faculty members that live Biblical
     Christianity before our students). (Galatians 4:19; 
     Hebrews 13:17; II Thessalonians 3:7-9)
