Dave Murphy is the Pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church and School Administrator of Gethsemane Baptist Christian School (GBCS). He graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 1990. In 1991 he and his wife left Indiana and ventured out to California to go into full-time ministry. Not only has he served as an Assistant Pastor, but has also taught in the ministry of Christian school education since 1991. He came to Gethsemane Baptist Church in the year 2000, and has thoroughly loved being a part of both the church and the school. |

Aloha got saved and baptized in her teen years in the Philippines. She migrated to America during her freshman year of college. God led her to Bethel Baptist Church in Torrance where she met and married her husband and they served the Lord there for 10 years. In 1998, God led her and her family to Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was a home school mom of her two children for 13 years. She joined GBCS staff in 2005 and currently works part time in the school and part time in the financial office. Her heart’s desire is to serve the Lord whenever, wherever, forever. |

Phillip Goltiao graduated from Golden State Baptist College in May of 2009 with a degree in Music Education and an emphasis on Secondary Education and Youth Work. He was awarded the Male Music Award in his graduating class and has had the privilege of traveling on tour as the pianist for the Blessed Hope Quartet in 2008. |

Lydia Jones is a graduate of Aurora Community College. She has taught preschool, elementary and high school. She has taught first and second grade for six years and considers it an honor to teach at GBCS. |

Zaigra Martinez was born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from Golden State Baptist College in 2007, she became part of the ministry of GBCS. She teaches K4/K5. It is her privilege to work under the ministry of Pastor Murphy. She loves her students and is delighted to be part of their lives. |

Nancy graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies in 2006 from California State University of Dominguez Hills. She joined GBC staff in 2006 as a Learning Center monitor and later as the church secretary. She currently works part time in the mornings at the church office, teaches a typing class in the afternoon and also helps in the Learning Center. It is her joy to be able to work for the Lord. |

Mrs. Michelle Murphy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1991. She and her husband moved to California from Indiana during the summer of 1991. She began teaching that fall and continued teaching for 15 years. She has been at Gethsemane Baptist Christian School since the fall of 2000. She is currently the school secretary. He came out to California in 2002 from a small town in Illinois to attend Golden State Baptist College. He majored in Pastoral Theology and graduated in May 2006. One month after graduation, he got married, and less than one month after that, he and his wife moved to Long Beach and came on staff. It is his privilege to be here at Gethsemane Baptist Church and School. He loves this place! It is his joy to serve the Lord!

She was born and raised in Los Angeles and had the privilege of growing up in a Godly Christian home. Though she was not able to assist in a Christian school environment until now, she understands the importance of a Christian education. After graduating from Montecito Christian High School, she moved to Northern California to attend Golden State Baptist College. She graduated in May, 2007 and moved to Long Beach in August. It has been her delight and blessing teaching the 5th and 6th graders here at Gethsemane Baptist Christian School. |

Mr. Cipriano Villarreal has been faithfully serving the Lord at Gethsemane for over 20 years. He helps in our Hispanic ministry and demonstrates a servant's heart by assisting others. Whether it is replacing a light bulb, waxing our floors, or tightening loose bolts, he does it with a smile. He keeps our church and school very clean and is glad to be a part of the staff. |

Sara graduated from West Coast Baptist College in May of 2009, earning a BA degree in Elementary Education. She is currently the Sunday School teacher for a vibrant and growing children's ministry at her home church, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Whittier, CA. It is her privilege to be the 3rd and 4th grade teacher at GBCS. |

She graduated from Hyles-Anderson College with a B.S. in secondary education. She has been teaching at Gethsemane Baptist Christian School for the past 12 years since 1993. She has had the privilege of teaching 1st grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, Jr. High English, High School math, Home Economics, Music, and Drama. It has been her joy serving the Lord here in Southern California, her native home state. Her hobbies include volleyball, swimming and music. All four of her children graduated from Gethsemane Baptist Christian School (GBCS). Her prayer is that all the young people she teaches will go on to serve our Lord. |
